A fan writes: I need to know what your impression of Britney's family is. I hear all the time that Britney and your daughter are 'rivals.' But people have already gotten the fact that Christina and Britney have made great impressions on each other. What are your impressions of Lynne? Does Rachel have any good impressions of Bryan, Jamie Lynn, and Laura Lynne? What are your impressions of Britney's family and Britney herself? Does Lynne have a good impression of you, your family, and your daughter, too?

Shelly: Hi! It does make me wonder what media person said what, though, as at the time I received your email, several people were expressing sorry or concern over some sort of trouble we supposedly were having. Confusing, seeing as we never had any. I never did find out what we were supposed to have been going through!

As for the Spears family, our impressions are wonderful! Lynne used to be around me quite a lot, and Jamie Lynne would always beg her mom to take her to see Rachel, because she loved so much to play with Rachel, even though my daughter was a bit older. Lynne is a sweet, sweet woman, as is Britney.

Good heavens, I still picture the girls, my Christina and Britney, as little ones only about 11 or 12 years old! I can still see them so clearly in my mind's eye, behind the set playing ping-pong with their hair in curlers, waiting for their turn on the set. Wow - how time flies.

Never listen to the silly press who always tries to bash them and always try to paint the two girls as rivals. Total nonsense. Funny how the press never, ever made a big deal out of how time and again Christina would defend Britney firmly against their criticisms. They are sweet people - the Spears - and there isn't any rivalry and we've never felt any at all. Why on earth would there be?
