Ria writes: Hi. I would greatly appreciate
it if you read my mail. In most places such as on TV or in the mags,
people slam Christina's dress sense. If we all walked around looking
the same then life would be pretty dull. It's good to have a unique
personality even if it is in what you wear. Shelly, have you ever
made any of Christina's clothes, because I know Destiny's Child's
mother does. Also in papers, I have read that Christina is way too
thin. I think she has a great body. I've had anorexia for nearly
a year now, and no matter how much I have tried to get better it
doesn't work. Anyway I heard that Christina also works out loads
to achieve a great figure, and I'd like to compliment her on that.
Keep up the good work.
Christina's mom Shelly: Hi Ria, thanks
so much for your kind comments. If everyone was as open-minded as
you, then this world would be a much happier, loving place and people
would not feel so judged and, thus, insecure. People are often threatened
by anything different. And, silly as it might seem, this insecurity
expresses itself by criticism, ridicule, flash judgments with no
basis at all, and lies and gossip. You, however, have the right,
healthy idea. And no, I've never made any of Christina's clothes.
I'm very sorry to hear that you are battling anorexia.
I can only imagine how difficult an ordeal this is for you and many
others to go through. God bless you. Please keep trying and don't
ever give up. You'll make it. You're in our prayers.
As for Christina's figure, we actually laughed
together when we picked up this magazine that had 'Christina Aguilera's
Fitness Routine' and it had all these elaborate exercises and all
this stuff about how she eats special things and works so hard to
stay thin. We just laughed!! Because you see, it was all made up!
She never has exercised to get or stay thin in her life. She recently,
though, hired a trainer to help her with endurance, and has actually
gained weight finally after recuperating from a grueling work schedule
from the previous tour.
Hope this helps,
Shelly
