Al
Gomes of Big Noise was hired by Ricky Kej
and Wouter Kellerman to join their publicity and strategic
team that successfully helped win the duo their first-ever
Grammy Award for Best New Age Album for their CD 'Winds
of Samsara.'
Thirty minutes before winning, Wouter checked
in and spoke to everyone by phone at Big Noise's annual
viewing party on Grammy Awards Day.
Special thanks to Connie Watrous, as always, for her spiritual guidance, research and cheerleading.
'Winds of Samsara' is the first
collaboration between two critically acclaimed musicians,
Indian composer and producer Ricky Kej
and South African flutist and composer Wouter Kellerman.
Exploring the fusion of classical and contemporary sounds,
the CD speaks to timeless universal themes of love, peace
and harmony. Recorded across five continents with over 120
musicians, 'Winds of Samsara' reached No. 1 on the Billboard
New Age Album chart, World Radio chart, and Zone Music Reporter
Top 100 Radio Airplay chart.
Ricky has previously
composed the soundtrack for five feature films in the Kannada
language, and is credited with over 3,000 placements for
radio and television jingles. He has also composed the music
for the 2011 Cricket World Cup opening ceremony, held at
Dhakka. Read
