Al Gomes, Connie Watrous,
and Big Noise enjoyed a long and amazing creative relationship
and great friendship with acclaimed musical icon and legendary
jazz vocalist Freddy Cole that included many milestones.
A four-time Grammy Award Nominee, Freddy was considered
by many to be one of the greatest jazz vocalists of all-time
and a national treasure.
Because
of Big Noise's strategic and publicity efforts, Freddy's CD 'Freddy Cole Sings
Mr. B' was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album. Big Noise hosted a celebratory party
with Freddy at the Grand Hyatt New York Hotel on Grammy
Awards Day. Guests included his management team, record
label, his band, and close friends.
Al Gomes
also scored Freddy Cole his first national TV appearance
in years, performing live on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon
2010.
