Al and A. Michelle also managed the entire
CD project including hands-on artistic direction,
choice of the recording studio and songs, art direction
of the recording package, and publicity, marketing and distribution.
The Recording Academy placed
Alyssa on its Official Ballot for the 54th
Annual Grammy Awards for Record of the Year ('Not Now'),
Album of the Year ('Suddenly'), Best New Artist, Best Pop
Solo Performance ('As Simple As That'), and Best Pop Vocal
Album ('Suddenly').

Alyssa Surette has studied voice since she was 12 years old. She is an active stage performer with some of her favorite roles performed at the Historic Stadium Theatre in Rhode Island.
Throughout the past few years,
she has won several national and regional talent contests
including being named 'Best Performer' by Motif Magazine
in 2007.
Alyssa has also performed at
numerous charity events and community events throughout
the US including appearances at Carnegie Hall, MGM Grand
in Las Vegas, McCoy Stadium, numerous Fourth of July celebrations,
and the Hatch Shell at the Boston Esplanade. Several charity
events that she supports and has performed for include Relay
for Life, Muscular Dystrophy, and Special Olympics, where
she sang and provided the voice for the theme song at the
Massachusetts Summer Games in 2010.
