After touring its 'Songs
of Dennis and Carl Wilson' show throughout the
midwest (with special guest Alan Boyd), Adam Marsland's
Chaos Band recorded the show for a live album in
Los Angeles. Brian Wilson engineer Mark Linett was on hand
to tape the band's show at Brennan's before a large audience
that included co-writers of several of the songs and various
Wilson family members.
The new live album, 'Long Promised
Road: The Songs of Dennis and Carl Wilson Live,' is now
available at Amazon.com. The album contains 20 songs - 14 Wilson
songs, a rocking version of Chaos Band member Evie Sands'
hit "I Can't Let Go," and five originals. It also includes
three previously unreleased tracks - Dennis Wilson's "Carry
Me Home" and "Wouldn't It Be Nice To Live Again" and Evie's
"Don't Look Back (Don't Look Down)."
The new album features intricate
harmony and instrumental work from the entire band, and
an ace mastering job by Earle Mankey, who recorded Dennis
Wilson's 'Pacific Ocean Blue' album.
