January 29, 2000 Christina performs at Super Bowl 2000
Christina capped an amazing January 2000 off with a trip to The Super Bowl, performing with several of the biggest names in music! Christina kicked things off at halftime performing a new duet with Enrique Iglesias. Along with Phil Collins and Toni Braxton, they were joined by more than 125 drummers and percussionists, as well as a full symphony orchestra, a choir, and aerial dancers. Disney provided the special effects for the show, titled 'Tapestry of Nations.' The Super Bowl took place in Atlanta, GA. Also appearing before kickoff were Tina Turner and Travis Tritt, while the Smothers Brothers will serve as hosts. Faith Hill performed the national anthem. - Al Gomes for christina-a.com |
