Amanda McCarthy is an award-winning, multi-genre singer-songwriter from the greater Boston area. She has released two EPs of her original work, with more on the way, and she has been building a name for herself in the New England music scene with many awards since her first win in 2011 at the age of 17. You'll find Amanda playing a solo acoustic set, duo/trio style, or with a full band. Playing old favorites and always showcasing new material, her sound and style centers around the pop genre, but each individual song combines elements from other genres including alternative, rock, country, indie, and blues.

Just a few of Amanda's accomplishments include: opening for acts like Jason Lancaster (of Mayday Parade), Hawthorne Heights, SayWeCanFly, Alex Preston, and soon to include Jason Isbell and Jason Turner; her album 'AAA' being named runner-up Solo Album of the Year by Limelight Music Magazine in 2016 ; being a main stage performer at First Night Boston 2016, and her original song "Elephant of the Room" being named the winner of the Original Song Competition at the Southern New England Music Expo in 2015. She was also named Singer-Songwriter of the Year by Limelight Music Magazine in 2013 and has played venues like Disney's Hollywood Studios and Downtown Disney (Orlando), Hard Rock Cafe (Boston), Six Flags Theme Parks (New England & NY), The Bitter End (NYC), and many more all along the East Coast

"Amanda's style is reminiscent of intelligent, introspective songwriters such as Jewel and Steve Nicks with songs like 'Ignite' and 'Sticks and Stones,' but she also incorporates rock and quirk into songs such as 'Awkward' the way Lisa Loeb or Ingrid Michaelson would. The standout song is 'I Wish I Told You,' a harmony-laden gem that has shades of Eisley mixed with Colbie Caillat and it demonstrates the depth of songwriting prowess that Amanda possesses. With clever, yet introspective songwriting delivered through a powerful voice and equally powerful guitar, Amanda has proven that she has the talent and wisdom to get onstage with the heavyweights and stay there."
